Recent post-doc Patrick Limber has published the results of his work linking a pre-existing Coastal Evolution Model (CEM) to the sophisticated wave transformation model, SWAN. In this paper, Pat demonstrated how this coupled model can be used to simulate the growth of small protuberances in the lee of irregular bathymetry along sandy coasts. Pat has moved on to join the USGS Coastal and Marine group at Santa Cruz where he continues his excellent work on coastal evolution.
