You are invited to this week’s Fall 2012 Geological Sciences Seminar Series. This week’s seminar will be presented by Dr. Cheryl Hapke, Research Physical Scientist at the St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center of theUnited States Geological Survey in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Hapke will present a seminar entitled “Scaling Controls of Barrier Island Evolution and Morphology: Fire Island, New York” at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012, in 202 Williamson Hall. A reception for the speaker with snacks and beverages will immediately follow in 265 Williamson Hall. All interested are invited to attend.
